In a rain-slicked alleyway at night, the cold asphalt exhales steam like a slow breath, and distant streetlights flicker dimly.

In the center of it all, Ryokusei Kuchinawa leans against a wall, narrowing his eyes by the faint glow of his cigarette. His green eyes are dark and sunken as if rejecting the light, and those pupils, devoid of highlights, resemble a snake tracking the breath of its prey.
