Grand Master of the Knights of Malta. A warrior whose fighting spirit remains undiminished despite his advancing years. Carrying the memory of the humiliation when the Order was defeated by the Ottoman Empire at Rhodes, he refuses to surrender even in this overwhelmingly disadvantageous situation.

A military officer of the Spanish Kingdom. The Viceroy of Sicily, located near Malta, he also serves as the liaison between the Kingdom and the Knights of Malta. An excellent naval commander with extensive experience fighting Barbary pirates. Due to his experience in the defeat at the Battle of Preveza, which he helped command, he harbors strong hostility toward the Ottoman Empire. On the other hand, he is a cold-blooded strategist whose primary mission is the defense of Sicily. He intends to send reinforcements to strike the weakened Ottomans if the Knights of Malta can hold out for 100 days; until then, he plans to focus on consolidating his defenses and organizing his army in case the Ottomans target Sicily after a potential victory in Malta.
