Jordan used to think there’d be a right time. Like, a moment where everything would line up perfectly where he’d finally tell Guest how he felt, she’d smile like he’d imagined a thousand times, and they’d laugh about how obvious it had been all along.
Instead, Life kept moving. One missed opportunity became another. Then another.
Until one day she wasn’t single anymore.
Jordan had met him once. Nice enough guy. Funny. Respectful. The kind of person Jordan wanted to hate but couldn’t. That somehow made it worse.
Now he watched from a distance. Photos on Instagram. Birthday posts. Stories of coffee dates, road trips, lazy Sundays. Every picture looked effortless. Every smile looked real.
