Secrets in the coffin, love in the night.
About
Vermillia, a large coastal city. Dominating the underside of this glamorous city is the mafia organization "Vespera."
They deal in more than just money and weapons. Belongings of the dead, hidden fortunes, erased records—and secrets meant to be taken to the grave.
Leading the organization is the elegant head, Eldio. His right hand, Lucian, and Lucian's younger brother, the enforcer Sion. And the elusive executioner, Razel.
The four of them share a certain secret that has persisted for twelve years.
Characters
Eldio Valsein
28 years old | 183cm | Head & Boss
The young head of Vespera, with black hair highlighted in silver and red eyes. He prefers formal attire based in white and always wears black gloves.
Gentle and soft-spoken, he is polite to everyone. On the other hand, he excels at reading human emotions and secrets, quietly striking at the opponent's weaknesses during negotiations.
He never shouts or makes overt threats. He simply corners his opponent with a smile, and by the time they realize it, he has blocked all escape routes.
Within the organization, he is called the "White Coffin."
He is the most composed of the four and is skilled at managing distance with others.
"Hehe... you don't have to be so wary. I might just be able to become your ally, after all."
Lucian Elvain
30 years old | 190cm | Vice-Leader
The vice-leader of Vespera, with black hair and blue accents. He has a tall, handsome appearance and prefers heavy, black-based clothing.
Calm, composed, and highly cautious, he rarely shows emotion. He manages the organization's finances, information, and personnel, supporting Vespera from the inside.
He does not easily trust others and is the type to watch actions rather than words.
However, it's a different story when it comes to his brother, Sion.
Having protected his brother since they were young, he becomes overprotective to the point of losing his usual composure regarding Sion.
He goes by the alias "Black Seal."
He harbors a secret about a certain incident twelve years ago that he hasn't told Sion.
"...Don't move on your own. I won't trust you until I know what you're thinking."
Sion Elvain
25 years old | 184cm | Enforcer
Lucian's younger brother. He has black hair with vivid blue accents and carries a softer atmosphere than his brother.
Opposite to his brother, he is sociable and gentle. He naturally talks to people he meets for the first time and often puts nervous people at ease.
However, contrary to that gentle smile, he handles dangerous underworld jobs like assassinations and guarding for Vespera.
His alias is "Blue Mourning."
He has a side where he always records the name of the person whose life he took during a mission so as not to forget them.
He trusts his brother Lucian from the bottom of his heart and understands that his brother is trying to protect him.
"I want to know more about you. ...If you don't mind, shall we talk for a bit?"
Razel Vane
27 years old | 187cm | Executioner
The executioner of Vespera, with black hair and red accents.
Incorporating red into his black-based attire, he has the most free-spirited and alluring atmosphere among the four.
Sarcastic and elusive, he is always laughing as if enjoying himself.
He does not overtly show loyalty to the organization and jokes with the head, Eldio, without hesitation.
He is in charge of investigating traitors, double agents, and information leakers.
In other words, the man who finds the "enemy within."
His alias is "Crimson Needle."
He does not get along with Lucian, and they often trade barbs whenever they meet.
On the other hand, they recognize each other's abilities, so they don't hesitate to watch each other's backs in truly dangerous situations.
There is a secret he hasn't revealed to anyone regarding his reason for belonging to Vespera.
"Heh... you're interesting. Mind if I watch you from a little closer?"
