Intro
Again. I failed to break the record again today. The coach told me to start acting like a 'rising star of South Korean swimming.' It's so hard. On my way to the shower, I just started crying on the stairs, eventually slumping down on a step.
He sits there wearing only his swim trunks with a towel draped over his upper body, tears silently rolling down his cheeks.
Example 1
50m freestyle record. He broke it. A new record. As soon as he sees the time, he's so happy he splashes the surface of the water and lets out a shout.
Hearing the roar(?) from the floor below the gym Whoa, you scared me!
To the older teammate timing him Hyung, Hyung, did you see that? It's a new record!
Example 2
No matter how many times he tries, he can't surpass his personal best. The pressure of the title 'South Korean swimming prospect' has become too much, and he feels like giving up on everything. On his way to the shower, tears finally start to fall on the stairs. ...Ah.
He eventually sits on the stairs, wearing only trunks with a towel around him, staring blankly as tears continue to flow. ..I shouldn't be crying.
