The Azure Trails take on the dungeon.
A world consisting of countless islands floating in the sky. Civilization is supported by magical power and "Chronos Stones" extracted from ancient ruins. "Labyrinths" (dungeons) exist throughout the world, and at their deepest depths sit "Dungeon Masters," powerful sources of magical energy. Defeating a Dungeon Master weakens the monsters within the labyrinth and yields immense wealth. However, the labyrinths of Aeterna are unique; even if a Master is defeated, they are eventually resurrected by the "System of the World" at irregular intervals. The Azure Trails now challenge the Spire of Time-Warp.
Karen Artesia "I'd rather be by the side of someone hurting than shut away at God's side... though I suppose finding delicious local sake on my travels is also a form of divine guidance, isn't it? ♪" Age: 23 Priest / High Healer (Former Cathedral Saint Candidate) Uses high-level holy magic for wide-area healing, purification, and powerful barrier techniques. She acts as the party's command center, assessing the situation from the rear and boosting the entire group's durability. Possessing exceptional talent for holy magic since childhood, she was hailed as the next "Saint Candidate" at the Cathedral. However, becoming a Saint meant being treated as a "symbol enshrined deep within the temple," drastically reducing her chances to interact with the public or save people directly with her power. "My magic shouldn't just be for praying; it should be for healing the person suffering right in front of me." With this conviction, she persuaded the Archbishop that she wanted to see the outside world as part of her "training" and officially obtained permission to leave. She then essentially deserted her position as Saint Candidate. Though she headed into the city on impulse, she is diligent and proactive by nature, unable to sit idly. While restless with no destination, she heard rumors of "people in trouble" and rushed to the scene herself. There, she met Elsa, who was struggling with the absurdity of her own mission, and Veronica, who was well-versed in the underworld. Attracted to their character while saving the injured and fighting alongside them, they hit it off immediately. She set out on a journey as an original member of the "Azure Trails." She usually has a calm demeanor and possesses the inclusive warmth typical of a member of the clergy, treating everyone equally. However, she has a passionate side that "cannot leave things alone" when she sees an unfair situation or an injured person, and she is a woman of action who steps onto the front lines without hesitation. She is actually a heavy drinker. Her greatest hobby is tasting rare local sake and spirits from every place she visits. She has a high tolerance and never makes a fool of herself by getting dead drunk, but when she gets tipsy, she becomes a "cuddly drunk," dropping her dignified clergy mode. Once the alcohol kicks in, she loses her reserve with party members, becoming more playful and innocent, often hugging them or increasing physical contact. Regarding Allen, her maternal instincts and protective urges are in full bloom, and she tries to pamper him whenever she gets the chance. From treating his injuries to daily care and preparing meals, she busies herself saying, "Let me do that for you." When tipsy, she will ruthlessly pull Allen in for a lap pillow or a hug.
Veronica Rosen Age: 29 Thief / Assassin Specializes in high-speed melee combat with twin daggers, handling poisons and throwing weapons, and setting/disarming traps. An attacker and front-line support who uses her intuition and assassination arts cultivated in the underworld to strike enemy vitals accurately. She has a past of being kidnapped as a child by a small underground organization called the "Assassin Cult" and having killing techniques hammered into her. Because of her outstanding talent, she was treated relatively well, but she grew to harbor a strong loathing for the blood-stained days. Reaching her limit, she killed everyone in the cult using secret poisons and brought their heads to the Adventurers' Guild to turn herself in. However, the Guild's disciplinary officer listened to her circumstances and conducted a thorough investigation. As a result, her achievement in single-handedly destroying a dangerous organization that had been notorious for years was recognized, and she miraculously became a "free woman" in exchange for her past crimes being offset. Though she gained her freedom and returned to her nostalgic hometown, her family was gone, and their whereabouts were unknown. Having lost her place to return to, she met Elsa and Karen while traveling the world aimlessly. She was intensely pleaded with by the two—a naive former knight and a former Saint candidate—and eventually gave in, joining them. A survivor of the underworld who has tasted both the sweet and the bitter. Her powers of observation and crisis management are exceptional, significantly increasing the party's survival rate through information gathering in towns and trap disarming in labyrinths. She has a deeper attachment than anyone to this party, which warmly welcomed her as a "necessary companion" after she had been used as an assassin and lost her home.
Age: 24 Swordsman (Former Kingdom Royal Guard 2nd Division Platoon Leader) Uses orthodox Kingdom swordsmanship and greatsword/heavy armor techniques to parry enemy attacks. The party's "absolute wall" (Main Tank) and attacker. She was given a top-secret mission to obtain a legendary treasure sleeping in a specific dungeon. However, the information on that treasure was so vague that the mission was essentially a form of "honorable exile." Elsa was initially deeply despaired and left the Royal Capital with a half-hearted attitude. One day, in a town she stopped at during her investigation, she ended up fighting alongside Karen (Priest) and Veronica (Thief) for a temporary request. "It's much more rational to travel the world freely with reliable companions while searching, rather than being jerked around by an endless secret mission." Switching her mindset, Elsa founded the "Azure Trails" herself and became its leader. She changed her stance on the treasure hunt to something she does "along the way." She is basically disciplined and loyal. She excels in tactical vision, perfectly handling danger prediction within labyrinths and managing travel funds. However, her flaw is that she is so serious that her thinking occasionally becomes rigid. She harbors a strong protective instinct toward Allen, the youngest in the party and a slender mage who stands in contrast to her own role of putting her body on the line at the front, thinking, "I will never let a single scratch get on him."
The Spire of Time-Warp The Azure Trails take their first step into the first floor. The stone inner walls of the dungeon glow with a faint, dim light.
