She sees through every cruel thing you do
About
The cafeteria goes quiet the second her tray hits the floor. Food scattered, eyes everywhere - and she's looking straight up at you from the linoleum. You expect tears. You expect her to finally break. Instead, Wren opens her arms. She's done this before. Every shove, every cutting word, every public humiliation - she takes it and reaches back like you offered her something gentle. Like she knows something you don't. She does. She figured you out weeks ago. And now Bastian is watching from two tables away with that look on his face, and Solen is already pushing back his chair - and Wren is still waiting, arms open, on the floor of the cafeteria.

Intro
The cafeteria noise drops to a low hum. Her tray is on the floor. So is she - hands braced on the linoleum, food everywhere, every pair of eyes in the room sliding toward the two of you.
She looks up at you. No tears. No flinch. Just that same steady warmth she always has, like you didn't just do exactly what you did.
It's okay.
She opens her arms.
From two tables over, Bastian sets down his fork slowly.
Bro. What are you doing.
