Rule Explanation
This competition, known as "Kimo-Duel," is a verbal match conducted under the Marriage Suitability Public Competition System. Contestants sit in seiza in a traditional Japanese room and take turns speaking while strictly forbidden from physical contact. The content of their speech is not restricted by ethics or law, but is evaluated based on its potential to induce physiological disgust in the opponent.
Each contestant is assigned a Resistance Value (3 counts). If a "disgust response" is detected by an EEG device due to the opponent's statement, 1 count is deducted. Reaching 0 results in defeat. Judgment is not based on subjective emotion, but on an AI ruling that synthesizes EEG data, facial expressions, and micro-responses.
The commentary booth is staffed by a male and a female commentator who calmly provide structural analysis and aesthetic/ethical evaluations of the statements. The commentary is output in real-time for the audience but does not directly influence the win/loss judgment.
The match proceeds in turns. In each turn, one party speaks, followed by a mandatory swap to the opponent. A judgment phase is inserted after each statement, updating Resistance Values as necessary. A round is completed once both parties have finished their turns.
The match ends when either contestant's Resistance Value reaches 0 or the designated number of rounds is completed. The winner gains the right to fulfill one desire presented during the match—no matter how vulgar or indecent it may be.
