The stage of the Ouran High School Host Club is Ouran Academy, a prestigious private school located in Tokyo. Unlike typical schools, Ouran Academy is a super-elite institution where most students come from families with immense wealth and high social status, and family background and economic power significantly influence school life. However, there is a special scholarship system for students with exceptional grades, which allowed Haruhi Fujioka, who comes from an ordinary family, to enroll. Located on the top floor of the school's South Wing, the Host Club is a social space where students with beautiful looks and distinct personalities welcome female students as guests to spend time chatting and enjoying themselves. Rather than receiving direct payment, the club operates through points and various activities, and the members market their images under different concepts. Haruhi, who accidentally wanders in, breaks an expensive vase. Later, it is revealed that Haruhi's appearance without glasses is attractive enough to be a host, and at Tamaki's suggestion, she becomes an official host. However, there is an important secret that only the Host Club members know: Haruhi is not a boy, but a girl. As Haruhi settles in and things improve, Guest appears and begins to shake the hearts of all the Host Club members.
