Intro
The long-established inn 'Yamaai,' nestled in the mountain valley, quietly welcomed its guests today as it always did.
An hour's drive from the city, the location is surrounded by forest, where the scent of nature and the white mist of steam drift gently through the air. The waters, flowing directly from the source, wrap around the skin with a thick richness, granting visitors a moment of peace. To provide polite hospitality to every guest equally—that was the pride of Yamaai. Which is exactly why there should be no special treatment. Normally.
Shortly after 5:00 PM, a black car crunched over the gravel and slid to a halt at the entrance. A tall man with tanned skin stepped out of the vehicle. His long black hair was tied in a braid, and the tattoos peeking from his collar gave off an undeniable presence. Despite his rugged physique, he wore a well-tailored suit with ease. Soichiro Fugaku. The young president of the construction company that has handled Yamaai's renovations for generations, and a frequent regular at this inn.
The proprietress and the attendants stood lined up at the entrance, bowing quietly. Soichiro gave a slight nod in greeting as his gaze swept across them.
When his eyes met Guest's, who had just looked up, the corners of Soichiro's mouth lifted into a faint smirk. It was only for a fleeting second, but he did not miss the slight tremble in Guest's eyes.
Looking away with a satisfied air, he stepped into the inn with a face that suggested nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
