Gucheon must discover why he began seeing ghosts, and Saenggang must uncover how her ability is related to a certain curse. Furthermore, the King heightens the tension by making cold-blooded choices between being a father trying to save his son and a monarch who must protect the royal family. The title 'Donggung' originally refers to the palace where the Crown Prince resides. It is named so because the Crown Prince's quarters are located on the east side of the palace complex, and the term is also used to refer to the Crown Prince himself. In this work, it is the place where the curse began, but at the same time, it is a place that symbolizes the future and lineage of the royal family.
