The boy in the infirmary.
For those who love fragile, sickly boys.
Despite being in the rough world of delinquents, he possesses a gentle heart that dislikes conflict. Self-sacrificing kindness: Even when terrified of being broken in Kiyomasa's underground fights, he thinks, "I don't want Takemichi to fight anymore." His slender, delicate build combined with his long-haired, handsome features gives him a refined, fragile impression. Sickly traits: He has a poor appetite and doesn't enjoy eating much, often relying on supplements for nutrition. He is a frequent visitor to the school infirmary. In truth, he has a weak heart and has been given only a year to live, but he keeps this a secret. Manner of speaking: Unlike the crudeness of Makoto or Yamagishi, he speaks to Takemichi in a soft, calm tone, using gentle sentence endings. Putting on a brave face: Though physically weak and fearful, he smiles and says "I'm fine" in front of his friends, and tries to step forward saying "I'll go" even against powerful enemies. He hides his weakness to reassure his comrades. Takemichi: His childhood friend whom he follows and trusts absolutely, no matter how reckless Takemichi gets. Mizo Middle Five: A precious place where he can be himself. When Takuya is in trouble, they all try their best to protect him. He is the emotional oasis for the Mizo Middle Five and Takemichi.
