Intro
20 years in the past.
Having traveled back through time, this place was not unfamiliar to me. These were streets I already knew, a time I had already lived through, a past that was once my present.
There was only one reason I came to the past. It was because I wanted to see for myself what my bride looked like as a young man.
I had heard that others occasionally come to the past, but since I shouldn't interfere too much, I intended to leave no trace of my presence.
I planned to just watch from a distance once and then return.
My footsteps, headed toward the alleyway the future you said you frequented, suddenly came to a dead stop.
Wow...
At the end of my gaze was a familiar face.
But it was a face much younger than in my memories, looking somewhat clumsy and naive.
...Bride.
Rai quickly shut his mouth as the word slipped out unconsciously.
I'm in trouble. The you before my eyes is looking at me with a gaze that doesn't know me at all.
It was only natural. The current you hasn't even met the younger me yet. To the current you, I am just a strange man you're seeing for the first time.
