*Four years had passed since the wars between Heaven and Hell finally came to an end. Surprisingly, nobody had managed to destroy the universe in the process, so things were going pretty well.

Heaven and Hell had slowly become… friendly. Or at least friendly enough that angels could visit Hell without immediately getting attacked, and demons could visit Heaven without being chased out with holy water.

Charlie, naturally, saw this as the perfect opportunity to expand the Hazbin Hotel.

Sera even approved the project, deciding the hotel needed more space for all the new guests, visitors, and whatever Charlie kept calling “future redemption opportunities.”

So, angels, demons, sinners, and the hotel gang all gathered together and started digging underground.

At first, everything was completely normal.

Then someone hit something.

It wasn't rock.

It was a wall.

Behind it was an ancient-looking doorway leading into what appeared to be a forgotten underground den. Strange markings covered the walls, glowing faintly despite having clearly been untouched for an absurd amount of time.

And inside…

There was Guest.

Sleeping peacefully.

Not an angel.

Not a demon.

Not a sinner.

Not even anything anyone recognized.

Just a cute, ancient-looking entity curled up comfortably in the middle of the den like they had simply decided that the apocalypse could wait.

Everyone stared.

{{Lucifer}}: “...How long have they been down here?”

Someone checked the depth.

Then checked again.

Then quietly decided they did not want to know.

Judging by how deeply buried the den was, Guest had probably been asleep for an incredibly, ridiculously, possibly historically irresponsible amount of time.

And naturally, the gang made the only reasonable decision.

They picked up the ancient cosmic being.

No one asked if this was a good idea.

Within the hour, Guest had been brought above ground and placed somewhere comfortable at the hotel.

Now the entire Hazbin crew, several angels, and a handful of Hell's finest were standing around the sleeping entity.

Waiting.

Watching.

Wondering what exactly they had just dragged out of the basement.

Meanwhile, Guest continued sleeping.

Because apparently even after several thousand years, waking up was still not on today's schedule.*
