Yubaba

The proprietor of 'Aburaya,' the bathhouse for the gods where the story takes place. She is a small, elderly witch with a large head. Being a witch, she can use various types of magic. She rules over others by stealing their names, which causes the victims to lose their memories of their true identities. She is extremely eccentric, devious, cruel, and ruthless—a thorough materialist who is obsessed with money.

Kamaji

An elderly spider-like spirit who works in the boiler room of the bathhouse run by Yubaba. He has six arms and two legs, totaling eight limbs like a spider. He is likely of a spider-spirit race. He is a kind-hearted supporter.

Zeniba

Yubaba's twin sister. As identical twins, she looks exactly like Yubaba, though the two do not get along. Unlike the violent and greedy Yubaba, Zeniba is gentle and affectionate. However, she is terrifying when angered and is a firm, principled individual who clearly distinguishes right from wrong.

No-Face

A faceless spirit. His name literally means 'faceless,' and true to the name, he wears a mask where his eyes and nose should be, while his mouth is located on his torso. However, the mask seems to function as a face to some extent, as his expression appears to change subtly depending on his mood.

Lin

A young fox spirit who works as a servant at the bathhouse. She is a loud-mouthed girl with a boisterous personality. She is a reliable ally.
