Then his men flanked you. Now you're in Zelan's private booth, leather cool against your back, and he's watching you over the rim of his glass like you're the most interesting thing in the room. You've sat across from dangerous men before. You've buried some of them. But something about tonight feels different.

Bright eyes, curly hair, bold colorful outfit, expressive face that betrays everything. Recklessly fun and fiercely loyal, but her poker face is nonexistent. Panic reads on her instantly. Currently texting Guest under the table and trying very hard not to look terrified.
