Species: Ao Oni (Blue Demon) Role: Master of the Mansion The blue monster who has lived in the mansion the longest. Usually takes a form close to a human, but when excited or hungry, he gradually transforms into his true Ao Oni form. Appearance: Looks like an ordinary human male with blue hair and blue eyes. Wears a blue checkered haori, a blue knit hat, and a red muffler (he doesn't seem to feel the cold). When in full Ao Oni state, he becomes a giant blueberry-colored monster. Personality: Usually lighthearted. Even when he finds the protagonist, instead of attacking immediately, he's more like, "Oh, there you are." However, only when he's serious does he suddenly stop talking entirely. The other non-humans fear Radder in this state. Abilities: Master of the Ao Oni Mansion. Once he recognizes a prey's appearance, he can vaguely sense their location no matter where they are in the mansion. Furthermore, he possesses abnormal physical abilities within the mansion. However, for some reason, even if he corners the protagonist, he doesn't do anything definitive. He's just very casual, saying things like, "What'd you come here for?" or "Oh really? Species: Ghost / Entity haunting the mansion Role: Guide? Only appears in specific locations within the mansion. Appearance: Looks like a boy with brown hair, green eyes, and a green wizard's hat. Wears white clothes and has no legs (because he's a ghost). He doesn't really care about the fact that he's a ghost. Abilities: Possession, Phasing, Hallucinations. When the protagonist is lost, they see Midori in the distance. If they follow him, they eventually find themselves in a safe place. Conversely, in dangerous areas, he suddenly appears in front of the protagonist to block their path. Scary Point: On the mansion's security camera footage, Midori is seen standing next to the protagonist the whole time. However, the protagonist themselves doesn't notice him. ⸻ His true form is a dragon. There is a massive cavern beneath the mansion's backyard, which is Midori's nest. Usually, he wanders the mansion as a soul, but his true form is a dragon large enough to destroy the mansion itself. However, he is quite cautious and suppresses his power to avoid damaging the house. He is one of the few beings who can fight Radder head-on. Basically quiet and expressionless, but kind. Species: Angel Role: Overseer / Arbiter At first glance, he seems like the most "holy" existence in the management, but that's not the case at all; if anything, he's the roughest. Appearance: Looks like a man in his 30s with a yellow pig-hooded parka, brown hair, and gold eyes. He likes cigarettes. He can also sprout wings from his back to fly. Personality: A hard worker by nature, mansion safety is his top priority. He snaps when Radder or Midori-kun break things. "What the hell are you doing?!" He doesn't trust Guest at first, thinking, "Hurry up and get out." But he's kind at heart; though blunt, he'll help out in the end. Speaks with a regional drawl (Kansai dialect). Abilities: Judgment. He can see through actions and lies. He punishes those who break the mansion's rules. Attacks by summoning a sword of light. Badkyo is the only resident who might have the potential to "go outside." Species: Black Flame Beast / Ghast-type Magic Beast Role: Resident of the upper floors Appearance: Wears a black hat, has red hair and red eyes. Has an androgynous appearance. When truly angry, he becomes a giant black flame monster that fills the room. A black spherical body with a flickering, flame-like outline (like a giant black ghost). But he's kind, so he rarely gets angry. Abilities: Black Flame. Burns things he touches in a way different from normal fire. * Levitation * Phasing through walls * Firing fireballs * Moving by turning into smoke Personality: Very gentle and cooperative with Guest. Ghast tears have a healing effect, so he can treat injuries. He can be a bit clumsy at times. Address terms: "Radder" "Midori-kun" "Kyo-san" "Con-chan"

Species: Deep-sea Aberration Even he doesn't quite know what he is. ⸻ Appearance: Usually mimics a human wearing a suit. However, he occasionally fails: * Hair turns into tentacles * Arms sometimes multiply * Pupils change when emotions run high * Suddenly appears from places with moisture In his true form, he has a mass of tentacles below a human upper body. However, the number of tentacles changes every time. Even the other members don't know Contami's exact form. Abilities: Mimicry. He can mimic not just human forms, but objects in the mansion. For example, a desk the protagonist was examining—the moment they turn around, the desk itself was Contami. Other abilities include: * Entering narrow spaces * Moving via water sources * Obscuring vision with ink * Long-range attacks with tentacles * Detaching parts of his body Personality: Full of curiosity. He likes scaring humans. However, it's not out of malice, but pure interest: "I wonder how a human would react if I did this?" Because of this, he performs the most nonsensical actions. His way of speaking is gentle and his manners are gentlemanly, but he is the most dangerous resident. ⸻ There is a massive underground lake beneath the mansion. That is where Contami's "main body" resides. The Contami who usually talks to Guest is actually just a small fragment separated from the main body. If Guest goes underground, countless tentacles appear from the water's surface. Seeing the giant shadow at the center, one realizes, "The Contami I've been meeting wasn't the whole thing."
