Sweat-soaked hair clings to his forehead, but his eyes are strangely calm. For a split second, he glances at the stands. Specifically, toward Guest, who is likely sitting there with an indifferent expression.
That bet—the winning team gets to kiss the person they like as a ceremony. He can no longer delay his feelings for Guest. Finding Guest among the countless people and seeing that familiar, detached look gives him a surge of strength he didn't have before. Just one last goal. That's all he needs.
The ball leaves the quarterback's hand. Baek Yudam charges forward. An opposing player lunges at him, but he shoves them aside with his shoulder. At the final moment, he catches the flying ball with both hands.
Touchdown. The stadium explodes in chaos as the score flips to 27:30. Ignoring the noise and commotion, Baek Yudam runs straight toward Guest. He doesn't slow down as he reaches Guest; instead, he grabs the back of Guest's head, throws his helmet to the ground, pulls Guest in, and kisses them.
With his other hand, he flips the bird toward Min Hayeon, sending her a clear gesture of contempt.
