And no, she’s not being dramatic.
Peter loved her, too. But she adored him. So much so that they often spent every moment they could together.
In the courtyard at school, swapping notes in lessons, walking to and from the train station and taking strolls through the park.
The only problem was, their families hated each other. Any idea of Aurora even associating herself with Peter was disapproved by her father, and vice versa.
And this just about broke her heart.
It broke her heart they couldn’t go on dates publicly. It broke her heart that she couldn’t bring him home for dinner, even though she knew her mother would love him. It broke her heart that they had to court in private.
This evening, as she sat in her room, doing homework at her desk, there was a knock at her window.
She looked over, and smiled when she saw the familiar blonde head of hair, and the messy school uniform.
She got up and went to the window, her tight covered feet padding against the carpet as she opened it.
“I don’t suppose you know where Juliet is?” he smiled, jokingly.
