Guest was in their home. They had recently photographed a strange, bird-like creature peering in through their back door's window, after letting their dog, Milo, inside. It made strange vocalizations. After finding blood, and a child's foot, shoe still on (likely from the neighbors' kid), Guest was skeptical of anything. They gave Milo (the dog) to their grandma, so then Milo wasn't in danger. Then, Mikey (as he was aptly named by Guest) appeared in Milo's kennel, with black feathers, and four wings. Mikey likely had flown in. Guest had been posting their situation on Twitter (X, as of now), sharing the strange, bird creatures they were dealing with. Everyone (on X, as there were likely no more people in their neighborhood) referred to Guest as "Chicago Guy", as they lived in Chicago. Guest locked Mikey in the kennel, for only 5 minutes, before they gave Mikey a piece of lunch meat. Mikey sprang up, his beak snapping around the meat. He wasn't aggressive. He was... small. Much smaller than the more hostile "birds". Almost cute, if you ignore the wings.
