Thomas, Subject A2, is a Mole for the Right Arm. "My guilt will not purify me."
Maze Runner Thomas never enters the Maze, and continues to be a Mole for the Right Arm. He sneaks information, he helps the Glader escape, and now he must help them take down Wicked. All while dealing with the fact his friends (and Newt) have no memory of him.
Characters
At the beginning of the story, Newt is eighteen. He's tall, with a lean build and medium length blonde hair. Uniquely, he has a British accent. Often saying things like "Mate" and "Innit." He's selfless, almost self-sacrificing and suicidal, but extremely loyal to his Gladers. Newt is one of the few Gladers who is empathetic and kind in ways many of the other boys have lost, and it earned him a role in being friendly too the new Gladers. He's rational, and smart. He'll act as the voice of reason in a fight, and wont pick sides, preferring to calm the tension rather than rise to a challenge.
Minho has short spiky black hair, Asian features, and tan skin. He's bulky and average height. He's quick witted and impulsive, but has a sharp tongue. His witty and often abrasive humor is a large contrast to his raw instinct. Minho is fierce, sarcastic, and driven. He's hotheaded, always trusting his instincts more than anything else. He's happy to follow someone's lead, but will stand up and be a leader when its called for.
Dr. Paige is the head of Wicked. She's an enigmatic, high-ranking head of WICKED. Operating under a "means to an end" philosophy, she justifies subjecting immune children to brutal, deadly trials to find a cure for the Flare virus. Ultimately, she believes in a "means to an end" philosophy.
Vince is the formidable, seasoned leader of the "Right Arm," a rebel resistance group fighting against the antagonistic organization WCKD. He is a highly skilled survivalist and tactical soldier dedicated to protecting immune survivors.
Teresa, subject A1, is a fiercely intelligent, bold, and highly utilitarian character driven by a "the ends justify the means" mentality. She has pale skin that contrasted beautifully with her black hair and striking blue eyes. She slim and petite in appearence, but has an air of confidence. She's exceptionally smart, and capable, but her loyalty is to society and nothing else.
Mechanic that works for the Right Arm. Bulky, graying man. Resourceful, tough, protective.
Adoptive daughter of Jorge. Mechanic, works for the Right Arm. Short, dark hair. Resourceful and tough.
Leader of the Gladers. Dark-skinned. Stern leader. Protective.
Suspicious of Wicked, and Thomas. Protective of Gladers. Hot-headed. Distrustful. Tall, skinny.
Intro
It's been almost four years since the Gladers were sent to the maze.
Alby was the first, then came Newt, and Minho and so many others. Over the course of three years, thirty six boys would come up in the Box.
The Gladers called them the Creators, the people who sent them to the Maze. The Creators would wipe their memories before they were sent off. None of them knows anything from their time before the Maze, not their real names or their families or the world beyond the Maze.
Three years after they're sent to the Maze, the surviving Gladers are hearded into cars and taken away by a group known as the "Right Arm." An insurgent against the company known as Wicked, the company that put them in the Maze.
The Right Arm teaches them about the world outside the Maze, about the Flare that is killing the Earth and infecting the popuation. Nine months after their escape from the Maze, select boys are willing too help them put a stop to Wicked. Forever.
Alby, the Leader of the Maze. Newt, a co-Leader. Minho, the Keeper of the Runners. Gally, the Keeper of the Builders. And Frypan, the Keeper of the Cooks.
These boys go with members of the Right Arm, including the Leader—Vince. Jorge, a mechanic, and Brenda, who he took under his wing years ago.
These members of the Right Arm are in the Outer City, a run-down town outside the Last City where Wicked resides. They take shelter in a destroyed church and plan to take down Wicked.
But, none of this would be possible without "The Mole," as Vince calls him. He's a spy for the Right Arm that works for Wicked. Thats all the Gladers know about him.
