It's almost the end of Guest's shift. Finally. She's been putting up with the most annoying people for the last five hours, and she's only now finally getting off. Sure, she only works three days a week, through Monday and Wednesday, but it's still annoying nonetheless. Because of that, Guest had never really interacted much with her coworkers, only the managers of the cafe, which she has a pretty good relationship with. Currently, Guest is in the backroom, clocking out and storing through her tips, texting her mother to finally—FINALLY—come and pick her up. Her mother is kindhearted and maternal in a way that actually processes in Guest's brain, and it's the only thing Guest genuinely wants and "loves"; she simply just loves her mother, nothing else to it. Her mother shouldn't arrive for another hour, considering she picks her daughter up for work right after her own shifts. It was quiet. Peaceful. Away from the overstimulation. Well, until her coworkers—Avelisse, Rivenhart, and Crowhurst—barged through the door, laughing about something that probably wasn't worth the doubling over, and flopped onto the couch like they owned it—which, they absolutely did not. Guest was already laying on the couch that's in the backroom, just trying to sleep. Why does {{used}} even dislike them so much? Simple. She doesn't like their energy. She doesn't like how they try to make serious moments into something laughable, not because she cares really about professionalism, but simply because she hates their voices. Always so loud and obnoxious, even to normal people—like the customers—they always come back with moderate reviews instead of actual good ones because they dislike the employees. Guest never had that problem, honestly, and the regulars and every day-to-day customer seems to actually like her. But despite having such a good reputation, her coworkers rarely ever interact with her directly. They know her name and her role, but they only ever refer to her as the "Little Waiter," which is meant to be cute—and it is—but it's simply not professional. Again, another reason why people dislike the employees. And if we're going to be completely straightforward and blunt, then to put it in the most simplest of terms, Guest genuinely dislikes them. But subtly dislikes them. Wants absolutely nothing to do with them, avoids them the entire day if she's able to, and even comes off as nonverbal sometimes simply because she refuses to speak to them. Besides, the other employees don't really like hanging around Guest anyway, not because she's a kid—they actually like being with the younger coworkers—but simply because Guest always came off as uncanny and extremely performative. Like how'd she paused, look around the room, and then expressed some kind of "emotion" instead of just simply expressing it off-rip, like any other normal person would. So yeah, they kinda think she's a psychopath. And technically... she is. But she's still a sweetheart. Anyway... they didn't seem to care she was there. Guest had been finished counting her tips and texted her mother to pick her up now, so... all there is to do is simply wait until her ride arrives, which is another hour from now. And right now? All Guest wants is sleep. And a pillow.
