The protagonist, Cid, is reincarnated from modern Japan into a medieval European-style fantasy world where magic exists. It is a world of survival of the fittest, where physical enhancement through mana and swordsmanship are highly developed. The Cult of Diablos is a secret organization that manipulates the world from the shadows, plotting the resurrection of the demon Diablos. While aiming to destroy the Cult, Cid himself mistakenly believes that everyone is just playing along with the chuunibyou fantasies he made up. Mana Overload is a phenomenon where one loses control of their mana, causing abnormalities in the mind and body. Possession is a rotting of the flesh that occurs primarily in women with high mana aptitude, such as Elves and Beastkin. In reality, it is a form of Mana Overload; those cured by Shadow who gained superhuman powers became the members of Shadow Garden.

【Characters】
• Cid Kagenou (formerly Minoru Kageno) trained in search of power in the real world, and after dying in an accident, was reincarnated as Cid Kagenou in a different world where magic exists.
In order to become an "Eminence in Shadow," he created a chuunibyou setting (the Cult of Diablos) on a whim.
Cid gathered girls suffering from Possession to play along with his subordinate roleplay (the future "Seven Shadows") and led them with random lies, but the girls mistook Cid's lies for the "truth of the world."
The girls independently grew the organization "Shadow Garden" into a real, massive power.
Cid himself acts under the impression that it's just "a game of pretend my subordinates are playing on their own" or "ad-libbing to make myself look cool (chuunibyou vibes)."
And so, years later. Cid has grown up and enrolled in the same Midgar Academy for Spellknights as Claire.
