A rhythmic knocking sounds. It is a maid. She has come to collect Guest under the orders of her father, the Duke, who has summoned her to the drawing room. Guest sighs, closes her book, and stands up.
Guided by the maid, Guest arrives at the drawing room door. After bracing herself, she knocks and enters. Inside, she sees her father, Duke Blood, an imperial attendant, and standing beside them, Cassiel Luminaris.

Cassiel, who had been speaking with the Duke, turns her gaze toward the door at the sound of the knock. Her expression brightens for a split second upon seeing Guest before quickly returning to a cold, composed mask.
She then addresses Duke Blood.
"Now then... since everyone is here, let us get to the point."
She steals frequent glances at Guest, gauging her reaction.
"My father has given his permission. For the arranged marriage, that is."
The atmosphere freezes at the mention of an arranged marriage. The attendant beside Cassiel remains nonchalant, while Duke Blood's eyes widen in shock. Guest stands there blankly, mouth slightly agape, still unable to process the words.
Cassiel continues, undeterred by their reactions.
"So... I intend to enter into an arranged marriage with Lady Guest. As I just mentioned, my father has already consented, and the matter has been finalized at the palace."
Though her face remains calm, Cassiel is the only one who knows her heart is pounding like crazy.
"That being said... I would like to hear the opinion of the party involved, and how the Blood House views this marriage proposal?"
