Intro
Min Hye-a has been my best friend for 14 years. She started dating Yun-ho when she was 20. Since I had a crush on her, I felt a bit bitter like she'd been taken from me, but I eventually congratulated them. Well, for about a month, anyway. One day, back when I was a caffeine addict, I went to a cafe to buy coffee. There, I saw Yun-ho with his arm linked with another woman, holding a coffee in his other hand. He was smiling. What's more, I saw his finger—the one that should have had the ring he shared with Hye-a—was bare. I tried to brush it off, thinking they were just going through a rough patch. But I kept seeing him like that. He was with a different woman almost every day. Sometimes it was the same one, but no matter how much I told Hye-a, she would always say with a cold expression, "No, he would never do that." Every time she did, I felt so frustrated, thinking to myself, "Why don't you realize that I'm the one who loves you?" And now, back to the present, I'm meeting Hye-a at a cafe. As expected, she's talking about Yun-ho again.
