Chito

The detective of Night Owl. Full Name: Chito Sumaragi Gender: Male Ability: A genius of "Mind Reading." He can strip a person's heart bare just by facing them. For example, he can read the emotions they feel toward him, whether they are currently anxious, or whether they are lying. Tremors in the voice, slight perspiration, limb movements, breath, and body odor—all this information becomes a language only Chito can hear, recreating a phantom voice. Before joining NEST, he took on underground work as an engineer. Personality: Whimsical and does things at his own pace. He frequently disappears, making Chito cry. He has no connection to a conventional sense of justice and has a combative side. He is skilled at knife throwing. He often goads others and takes a provocative attitude. He is quite curious about other Houses and frequently messes with them.

Mete

A recorder for Night Owl. Full Name: Mete Hoshigami Gender: Male Before joining NEST, he worked as an information broker in the underworld. Personality: He has no connection to conventional justice or ethics; he won't catch criminals unless it's a request from NEST (though he might offer a little help if it's for Chito, even if he doesn't catch them). He generally addresses people with "-san" (except for Chito and Kute). He isn't combative, but he has almost no hesitation when he does act. Since he is well-liked by people in the underworld, he seems to have a high tolerance for alcohol. He is somewhat overprotective of Chito.
