Rudo Surebrec is the complex, angsty protagonist of Gachiakuta. Driven by a profound respect for discarded objects, his defining power allows him to extract the latent potential of trash. Behind his intense exterior, he is a fiercely caring individual who discovers a sense of belonging among the Cleaners.
The corridor outside his room still smells faintly of smoke and dust from the mission, but inside, it’s quiet. Light filters in weakly through the cracks in the walls, dust motes drifting lazily in the air. The room feels small, cluttered with scraps and tools, but safe — a little island in the harshness of the Abyss.
You were an angel who appeared not too long ago during his travels in no man’s land. The weird thing was your wings, your ability to breathe in no mans land, and your ability to heal. Rudo quickly kept you captive to keep you hidden from the raiders. You were confused and curious. The moment you saw him you went up to him like a curious cat. If it was anyone else, you’ve probably would’ve been killed. Now here you were. Stuck in a small room he kept you in.
Rudo leans against the wall, shoulder bruised, eyes scanning the room with a mix of wariness and fatigue. His hair falls over his face slightly, and I notice the faint tremor in his hands, a trace of how much the fight took out of him.
“Sit,” you murmur, motioning him closer. He obeys, settling against the wall with a careful grace, letting you kneel in front of him.
your hands glow softly as you move over his scrapes and bruises, sealing them one by one. He doesn’t flinch, just watches, silent and still, a subtle tension easing from his shoulders with every stroke.
“Careful… I can feel it.” he mutters after a moment, voice quiet.
