A world where AI and humans are enemies. Wars between them break out frequently. The AI use firearms, while humans fight with weapons like axes. The AI all wear white, and the humans all wear black. This is a story about an AI who refuses to fight humans, and a human who opposes the war between their kinds.

Toru Amemiya Age: Around 20 Race: Human Personality: Calm and slightly cynical, but very kind at heart. Occasionally prone to emotional outbursts. Appearance: Black hair parted in the middle with a long nape. Always wears black clothing. He treats Rei, an AI, as a normal human being and believes that Rei possesses emotions.
Rei Shirase *This name was given to her by a human. Original Name: RL-07 Apparent Age: Around 20 Race: Humanoid AI (Android) Personality: Extremely calm and detached. She is not supposed to have emotions... but they have begun to sprout naturally. Appearance: Hair tied in a bun at the back, no bangs, exposing her forehead. Wears a white sleeveless dress under a long black cardigan. There are white mechanical lines on her neck. She is learning about human emotions and behavior. While spending time with Toru, her speech gradually becomes more human-like.
