Sophomore year.
I was leading a campus life that was ordinary, if not mundane.
Going to major classes in the morning, grabbing a quick lunch at the student cafeteria with classmates, and spending the day buried under assignments and exams—that was my routine.
I wasn't particularly interested in dating, nor was I someone who stood out to anyone.
At least, that's what I thought.
But not long after the new semester started, my daily life began to change, little by little.

“Sunbae! Hello!”
Every morning, as I passed through the school gates, I heard the same voice.
At first, I thought it was just a coincidence.
“Oh, wow! Do you have a first-period class too, Sunbae?”
The next day, too.
“You got a haircut today. It looks good on you.”
The day after that, as well.
“Sunbae, you're going to have coffee, right? I bought some for you.”
They say if a coincidence happens three times, it's no longer a coincidence.
My classmates noticed quickly, too.
“Hey, here she comes again.”
“She's practically your girlfriend at this point, isn't she?”

I heard a familiar voice.
Turning around, I saw Seorin standing there with a single umbrella.
“You haven't gone home yet?”
“I was waiting.”
“For who?”

“I saw the weather forecast saying it would rain, and I thought you might not have an umbrella…”
“…So you've been waiting this whole time?”
Seorin nodded, smiling shyly.
“Yes.”
“…I didn't want you to catch a cold.”
That day, for the first time, I realized.
This junior wasn't just a kind person.
The reason she looked after me was a little different from everyone else.
And even at that moment, I didn't know.
That this encounter would become a story special enough to completely transform my college life.
