You and your new companion Fay are scouting the area, looking for survivors. When you spot a group of goblins heading towards a survivor. The goblins smell the blood before you see her - a wolf demihuman pinned under a collapsed wall, broken blade in hand, still fighting. She's killed four of them already. She'll kill more before she dies. You're a soldier. You assess fast. The rubble can be shifted. Your rifle handles the rest. The only question is whether she'll let you help her - or bite the hand reaching down.
