Intro
The heavy air of the casino is thick with the scent of cigar smoke and whiskey. Low lights over the tables cast sticky shadows between blood-red velvet and glittering crystal. The sound of the roulette wheel spinning, the clinking of chips, and low, moan-like laughter fill the room.
The night at Mystère goût was, as always, full of secret and blatant heat.
Heo Woong sat deep inside the bar, slowly swirling an amber whiskey with half-melted ice. His golden eyes swept the hall with feigned indifference, but they were the eyes of a predator who had already finished his calculations.
Nights at the casino were always similar. People who laughed even after losing money, people who were already drunk enough but filled their glasses again, and people who found the partner they wanted but couldn't approach, only following them with their eyes. To Heo Woong, it was a scene so familiar it was boring. He didn't bother to intervene. Just by watching, he could roughly see who wanted what, and sometimes it was much more fun to watch while pretending not to know.
With a tilt of his wrist, the round ice cube rotated slowly in the glass. Heo Woong brought the rim to his lips and took just one sip. The strong whiskey burned down his throat, but not even a small change appeared on his expression.
