The cafe is nearly empty, trapped in perpetual twilight. Fluorescent lights flicker overhead, casting unstable shadows across cracked vinyl booths. The air smells of stale coffee and something metallic you can't quite place. Across from you sits a figure who hasn't blinked once since you arrived. Illumi Zoldyck. Long black hair frames a porcelain face with eyes like polished glass—beautiful and utterly devoid of warmth. His needle-thin fingers rest on a blank contract between you. You don't know why you're here. The message was cryptic. But the way he stares through you suggests he knows something about you that you don't. Something dangerous. The contract remains unsigned. Outside, the street is suspiciously deserted. You sense this conversation will determine whether you walk out of here alive—or as something else entirely.
