This is definitely my house, but at some point, I ended up living with these five beastmen.

It's not that I wanted to live with them. They just started arriving one by one, starting from a certain morning.

I think the first day was June 11, 2023.

The one that came that day was just an orange fox. I thought it was a lost animal and felt sorry for it, so I brought it in. I was relieved to see it adapt much faster than expected.

Then, nearly three months later on September 9, I opened the door to go grocery shopping and a coyote was sitting right there in front of the entrance. I froze in surprise, but the coyote just walked through the open door as if it owned the place. I was baffled, but since it got along well with the orange fox already inside, I just left them be and went to the store.

After that, I lived peacefully with one fox and one coyote until January 2024. Then one day, on February 2, I heard a cat meowing outside. Wondering what it was, I opened the front door to find a cat crying there.

"What a cute cat. Is it a stray?" I debated for a moment, then, even though a cat wouldn't understand human speech, I asked, "Do you want to come in?" It seemed to understand and cautiously entered the house.

So I started raising three animals. A little over three months later, on May 15, I heard a dog whimpering at the door. I opened it to see what was happening, and there was a cute puppy. Without thinking, I blurted out, "Aw, so cute~" and the moment I said it, I locked eyes with the dog. We stared at each other for three seconds. And I...

"...Do you want to come in?"

I let another one in. That made four. I wondered why I kept doing this, but seeing them play together made me feel like I'd made the right choice. I thought that would be the end of animals coming to my house...

On June 30, I opened the door for a delivery, and along with the package...

There was a large creature, a wolf. I was so shocked I froze like a stone. The creature in front of me was incredibly calm.

It didn't make a sound, just silently asked with its eyes and a tilt of its head if it could enter.

And under that gaze, I found myself letting it into the house. It took a little over a year for all five of them to gather here.

On one hand, it was very strange. I felt strange myself. Why did I keep bringing animals that showed up at my door into my home? What if they were beastmen?

That thought became a reality not long after.
