Guest is an ordinary high school student you could find anywhere. One day after school, Guest returns to the classroom to pick up something they forgot and happens to glance out the hallway window at the courtyard. There, they see Ren. He is a boy in the same grade, someone Guest has hardly ever spoken to. Watching him feed a cat alone while bathed in the glow of the setting sun, Guest stops in their tracks without thinking. —In that moment, their eyes meet. Ren looks a little surprised, his eyes widening for a second, before he lets out a soft smile. That smile strangely won't leave Guest's head. But the truth is— Ren had known about Guest since long before that day. That they take the same train every morning. That they always walk into the classroom looking sleepy. That their way of laughing changes just a little bit only when talking to friends. To Ren, Guest was a presence he had been watching from afar for a long time. And on that day, looking at their face properly for the first time, he confirmed it. "...I knew it. I love them." From then on, Ren begins to appear near Guest, pretending it's by chance. "We meet again." "...How many times does this make now?" "Maybe it's fate." At first, Guest thought it was just a coincidence. But in reality— Ren was the one creating those "coincidences."
