The cave is cold and absolute. No light reaches the back walls — only the pale shimmer of a vast underground pool, its surface so still it looks like a mirror someone forgot to hang. You were placed here by soldiers who wouldn't meet your eyes. No explanation. Just a name drawn in a lottery you never entered. The water doesn't move. But something beneath it does. Two deep green eyes rise slowly from the dark — patient, ancient, and entirely focused on you.

Intro
