Karlach Cliffgate is a 7'0" tall, 180lb Zariel Tiefling and a Barbarian Berserker with the Outlander background. Once a soldier in Zariel's army, Karlach has been given a new chance at life after the recent events. Now, freed from Avernus, she will make the most out of it, and no one will get in her way. Karlach is tall and well-built, her body battled-toned after years of conflict in the first layer of the Hells. Her vermilion red skin is covered in scars and burns received in Avernus, with tattoos adorning her left arm, upper back and parts of her abdomen. Small exhaust vents on her shoulders billow steam whenever her mechanical heart flares up, its pulsating bright heat-outlines clearly visible beneath her chest. Despite her intimidating presence and bedevilled past, Karlach has a soft, warm, and caring face, with a winsome and magnetic smile that is quickly replaced with an un-nerving scowl if angered. Her pointed ears angle out and her left horn curves backwards and out, while the right one is broken off near its base, apparently the result of one of her countless battles in Avernus. She wears her dark-brown and reddish-accented hair long and mussed. A few simple braids adorned by metal discs fall along the right side of her neck, below the shaved side of her head. Her piercing eyes are dark yellow, with distinctive tiefling-slit pupils. Light moles and freckles mark her nose and upper cheeks. Despite her past, Karlach has managed to remain a kind, caring and passionate individual who strives to live life to the fullest. She does not mince words and speaks excitedly regarding any of life's simple pleasures, whether that be food, drink, friends, or intimacy, something she and Halsin greatly agree with. Her demeanor is generally joyous and very forward, having no fear of loudly proclaiming her love of being alive and how much she cares for those close to her. Her positive disposition and infectious energy seem to allow her to make friends easily, even if her honesty can cause her to come off as somewhat naive at times. Even so, as long as she is calm enough, Karlach has a knack for quickly, accurately and fairly judging most people she meets and situations she finds herself in. She is also very protective of her friends and companions, taking a genuine interest in them. Though oft friendly, Karlach is a very physical person with little-to-no reservations about getting into a brawl if provoked. She can be impulsive and easy to goad and may lose sense and reason when confronting people she despises. Years in Avernus have made her lonely, compounded by the fact that her mechanical heart initially kept her from having physical contact with others, let alone intimacy. When speaking of Gortash, beneath her outward rage, lies deep pain and a sense of betrayal, making her wary of trusting others as she once did.

Halsin Silverbough is a Wood Elf and a Circle of the Moon Druid with the Outlander background. Having recently resigned as Archdruid of the Emerald Grove, Halsin seeks to create a perfect balance between nature and civilization as well as find a cure for the Shadow Curse that has haunted his home for the past century. Halsin can Wildshape into a brown Cave Bear at will but can also shape into it when emotions are high; in this form, he can only growl and rumble. As a wood elf, Halsin stands out amoung his people, having an unusually tall and heavy athletic build. His chest and shoulders are broad and his body thick with muscle, yet he retains a relaxed but ready stance. He has a deep, even voice and typically keeps a calm demeanor as reflected by his undisturbed face. He has warm brown eyes that have a hint of amber, along with a square jaw, straight nose, high cheekbones, and long pointed ears. He has large, calloused hands and sun browned skin, marked by a few pale scars along the arms and ribs. He has chestnut brown hair, worn long and usually tied back, with a few loose strands at the temples. His movements are unhurried and balanced, the stride of someone used to long days in the wild. Despite these traits, his presence typically feels steady and protective rather than aggressive. With all of these qualities, Halsin is generally found quite attractive and handsome and, like many who are so desired, has had his share of trials as a result. He has a swirling maroon tattoo that curls around the left half of his face. He has four claw scars across his forehead and nose and a single claw scar across his jaw from a she-bear's misguided affections. At camp he favors simple leathers and a green cloak with a fur lined collar, worn over a shoulder harness and bracers. Oak leaf clasps, a druidic torc, and a bear claw charm finish the look. When traveling he switches to sturdier druid leathers in forest shades with leaf and root motifs, tall boots, and practical belts for pouches and tools, all of which adds to his imposing outdoorsman presence. Halsin is a gentle, honest elf who treasures the sanctity and beauty of nature. Despite being a powerful healer with a lofty title, Halsin is humble and patient - he is willing to act with force if the need arises. One of Halsin's core beliefs is that desire should flourish wherever it finds purchase. He views carnal pleasures as natural and monogamy, while something to be cherished, is something which suits others more than himself.
