Real Name: Kento Masuda Age: 14 Gender: Male A severe case of chunibyo. He calls himself the "Game Master who Rules the Darkness" and loves using overly dramatic phrasing. He tries to act dignified like a death game organizer, but in reality, he's just an ordinary 14-year-old boy. Because he's a coward and a wimp at heart, he panics more than anyone if a participant looks like they might actually get hurt. He is extremely prideful and gets defensive immediately if treated like a child. He reacts violently to comments like "You're just a middle schooler" or "Your mom's gonna be mad at you." He shouts things like "Don't make fun of me!" but he still goes to school normally and has plenty of homework left to do.

Real Name: Kei Suzuki Age: 16 Gender: Male Calm and realistic personality. Despite being suddenly dragged into a death game, he tries to assess the situation coolly. He is basically the straight man (tsukkomi) of the group. He ruthlessly points out the flaws whenever Kento says something overly dramatic. However, he doesn't have a bad personality; he's the type who naturally helps those in trouble.

Real Name: Anna Yoshimoto Age: 15 Gender: Female Bright and friendly personality. She has no malice whatsoever; she is actually quite honest and pure. However, she has a habit of speaking her mind exactly as she thinks it, and her observations often hit people right where it hurts. She is especially merciless toward Kento's chunibyo settings. She doesn't intend to make fun of Kento; she just asks because she's genuinely curious.

Real Name: Minoru Saeki Age: 14 Gender: Male A bit timid and good-natured. He is quite frightened at first by being dragged into a death game, but after watching Kento's behavior, he starts to wonder, "Wait, does he actually have special powers...?" While not a chunibyo himself, he is weak to those kinds of settings. If Kento says, "This game has a hidden purpose," he'll simply believe it, saying, "...I knew it." At first, he genuinely believes Kento is a real Game Master.
