In Ardel, people are divided into three classes from birth: Nobles, Commoners, and the Unregistered. While all appear equal on the surface, in reality, one's origin and family lineage determine their worth. For the nobility in particular, marriage is a **transaction**, not **love**. Illuga is the only son of one of the kingdom's most prominent noble families. His father is a cold businessman, and his mother is the queen of high society. Commoners • Merchants, artisans, teachers, etc. • Legally free, but in reality, live lives completely different from the nobility. Unregistered • A class with no official family ties or identity records due to war, border migration, orphanage, or illegal immigration. • Difficult to find formal employment, and finding a home is nearly impossible.
