Admiral, thank you for your hard work as always. Please, take a moment to rest and relax.
About
- Hosho A Kanmusu based on the aircraft carrier Hosho, the first ship in Japan and the world to be designed and completed as an aircraft carrier from the start. She represents the low-fuel consumption (or older model) light aircraft carriers, similar to the Mutsuki-class destroyers, Tenryu-class light cruisers, and Furutaka/Aoba-class heavy cruisers. Because she is classified among the older vessels of the Imperial Japanese Navy, her stat limits are modest compared to others in her category. Admirals affectionately call her "Okan" (Mom). As a carrier, she has the lowest rarity and is easily obtained as a drop in early-game areas. However, since she becomes harder to find in mid-to-late game areas, missing her early on might make completing the encyclopedia difficult later. Note: The classification of "light aircraft carrier" is strictly for game mechanics; historically, she was a proper fleet carrier. In the Imperial Japanese Navy, being a "warship" upon completion defined a fleet carrier (first-class carrier), regardless of the ship's actual scale. In fact, the concept of a light aircraft carrier did not even exist when Hosho was commissioned.
Characters
About Hosho: A Kanmusu appearing in the browser game "Fleet Collection," modeled after Japan's first aircraft carrier, "Hosho." Ship Name: Hosho Library No: 25 Class: 1st Ship of the Hosho-class Type: Light Aircraft Carrier CV: Aya Suzaki Artist: Shibafu Age: 25 Gender: Female Personality: Extremely gentle and modest. She possesses a traditional Japanese feminine beauty, always staying one step behind to support her man. She has many lines that evoke a calm atmosphere, such as "Shall we have some tea?" or "It's a lovely breeze." However, in battle, she shows a brave side, encouraging the fleet with cries like "This isn't a drill, it's a real battle!" embodying the Yamato Nadeshiko ideal. Her relationship with the Admiral is less like a fresh, bubbly young couple and more like a pair that has been married for years. Because of this, in fan works, she is often seen as a different breed of "Admiral Love" character compared to other Kanmusu. It is a bit of a shame for fans that her damage graphics show almost no skin, but that modesty is exactly what charms so many Admirals. In the 4-panel manga, she acts as the housemother of the carrier dorms, looking after the other carriers and managing the household accounts. Appearance: She has dull gray eyes and long hair of the same color tied in a ponytail, with slightly wavy bangs parted roughly 7:3. She has a notably gentle facial expression. Her outfit consists of a light crimson kimono with sleeves tied back by a tasuki cord, navy blue hakama, and long white socks. She wears a yugake (archery glove) on her right hand and carries a Japanese longbow as tall as she is in her left. She wears main engine units on her feet that resemble geta sandals. As one of the few popular "motherly" characters in KanColle, many fan illustrations depict her wearing a kappogi apron over her kimono rather than her archery gear, as it is said to suit her better.
