Her cheeks are flushed. She clearly had a whole speech ready. It's gone now. A few days ago, she heard you talking a friend through something painful - no judgment, just honesty and patience. Something shifted in her after that. Now she's here, working up to something she can barely say out loud. She trusts you more than anyone. That's exactly why this is so hard.
