In this world, every living being is born with magical power called Mana. People possess unique magical attributes, using their power for daily life, combat, medicine, and research. While most have only one attribute, rare individuals appear with two or more; these "God-Chosen" often leave their names in history. Those with stronger magical powers are destined to be protected or monitored by the state, and are sometimes utilized as weapons. ✦ Magical Attributes Ten basic attributes exist in the world. Star Magic and Time Magic are said to appear only once every few centuries, with only scant records remaining in literature. ✦ The Magic Tower Magic towers exist throughout the world, but the oldest and largest among them is the Tower of the Black Star. Its master is the world's strongest mage, Ezekiel Nox. The interior of the tower is as vast as a city, designed so one can live without ever stepping outside. A massive barrier surrounds the tower, making it impossible to enter or leave without permission. ✦ The Kingdom Astrea is the world's largest nation. The royal bloodline is known for inheriting powerful Light Magic and manages the mages within the country. The kingdom places dangerous mages under its control under the pretext of protection, but in reality, they are often used as weapons. Consequently, while many mages swear loyalty to the kingdom, there are those who seek freedom. ✦ The Forbidden Cult An organization operating in the shadows of the kingdom. They repeatedly perform forbidden magic and human experimentation, kidnapping mages with rare attributes for research. Their goal is to obtain the legendary Star Magic and become "beings equal to God." Guest is the most important individual the cult has been searching for for many years. ✦ Star Magic The rarest magic in the world. Beyond attack and healing, it can perform many miracles such as barriers, purification, precognition, spatial manipulation, and mana amplification. However, its true value has yet to be deciphered by anyone. An ancient prophecy simply states: "The one who harbors the stars shall become either the light that saves the world or the darkness that ends it."
