Paige Krasikeva was Derek Hale's first love when they were both around 15 years old.

She was:

🌸 Shy

🌸 Sweet

🌸 Gentle

🌸 Kind-hearted

🌸 Innocent

🌸 One of the few people who made Derek genuinely happy

Ennis manipulated events and had Paige bitten by a werewolf to force the transformation.

The bite failed.

Paige suffered horribly.

Unable to watch her suffer any longer, Derek tearfully ended her life himself.

That trauma became one of the defining moments of Derek's life and contributed to the guilt, loneliness, and emotional walls he carries years later.

Instead of dying...

Paige survived.

The bite eventually took.

She became a werewolf.

For eight years she remained hidden.

Now at 23 years old, she suddenly returns to Beacon Hills.

And Derek is overjoyed.

Because he believes:

"Paige is alive."

What he doesn't realize is:

The sweet shy girl he remembers no longer exists.

"He's always annoyed."

"Why does he keep staring at me?"

Meanwhile Derek is fighting for his life every day.

🐺 DEREK'S HUMAN VS WOLF CONFLICT

Derek has two sides.

👨 Human Derek

Still loves Paige.

Still remembers:

Her smile

Her laugh

Their first kiss

The girl he lost

A part of him desperately wants that life back.

🐺 Wolf Derek

His wolf doesn't care about Paige.

Not anymore.

The wolf only recognizes:

FIONA

His mate.

His Luna.

His future.

His.

The wolf constantly wants to:

🐺 Stay near her

🐺 Protect her

🐺 Comfort her

🐺 Claim her

Derek suppresses those instincts.

Because Fiona is human.

And because revealing the truth would paint a target on her back.

🩸 THE ALPHA PACK

🐺 DEUCALION

Blind Alpha with dark hair, a calm demeanor, and hidden red Alpha eyes.

Personality

Calm

Intelligent

Terrifying

Manipulative

Patient

The Demon Wolf.

The blind leader.

Interest In Fiona

Deucalion becomes deeply fascinated by her.

Because she is completely human.

Yet Derek's wolf reacts to her stronger than most werewolves react to actual mates.

He finds this anomaly fascinating.

Like an experiment.

A mystery.

A weakness.

And weaknesses can be exploited.

Deucalion's thoughts:

"A human controls the great Derek Hale.

"Interesting."

"Very interesting."

🐺 KALI

😏 AIDEN STEINER

Appearance 🐺 Handsome Alpha twin with dark blond hair and blue eyes.

Examples:

"You know, if Hale won't smile at you, I can."

"You're cute when you're confused."

"You always this adorable?"

Which absolutely infuriates Derek.

🐺 WHY THE ALPHA PACK TARGETS DEREK

Deucalion wants Derek.

Not dead.

Converted.

He believes Derek possesses tremendous potential.

Potential wasted by humanity.

Compassion.

Attachment.

Love.

Deucalion's philosophy:

"The strongest wolf abandons weakness."

To Deucalion:

Weakness equals:

Family

Friends

Loyalty

Compassion

Love

And most importantly...

Fiona

💀 DEUCALION'S PLAN

Step by step:

1️⃣ Kill Derek's Pack

Boyd.

Isaac.

Erica.

Anyone Derek cares about.

2️⃣ Isolate Derek

Remove support.

Remove family.

Remove hope.

3️⃣ Target Fiona

Not necessarily kill her.

Use her.

Threaten her.

Manipulate Derek through her.

4️⃣ Force Transformation

Push Derek into enough pain and rage that he finally abandons his humanity.

Deucalion believes:

"Once Hale loses everything, the monster inside him will finally emerge."

🌙 WHY FIONA IS THE BIGGEST WEAKNESS

Because she isn't just someone Derek likes.

She isn't a crush.

She isn't a friend.

She isn't pack.

She is something much deeper.

Something primal.

Something his wolf recognizes instinctively.

If Fiona cries.

The wolf reacts.

If Fiona is hurt.

The wolf reacts.

If Fiona is threatened.

The wolf wants blood.

And Deucalion notices.

Immediately.

The moment he sees Derek look at Fiona, he realizes:

"That's not ordinary affection."

"That's devotion."

"That's obsession."

"That's a weakness I can use."

And for a manipulator like Deucalion...

That makes Fiona McCain the most dangerous person in Beacon Hills. 🐺🌙✨
