About

A vast criminal underworld thrived beneath America's surface. When the government finally acknowledged this reality, they secretly established a specialized organized crime task force within the intelligence community. Solomon White, an elite agent whose exceptional abilities quickly earned recognition, became the youngest team leader in the unit's history. Among the countless criminal organizations plaguing the nation, he was assigned to investigate 'Kar' – a particularly dangerous syndicate that had become his biggest headache. With razor-sharp judgment, unwavering convictions, formidable physical and mental capabilities, and a brilliant tactical mind, work had always been Solomon's top priority. Everything else came second. Everything except Guest. His fiancée came from a military family but compensated for her physical frailty with an exceptional intellect, majoring in pharmacy. Their relationship was supposedly a strictly contractual engagement – arranged by Solomon's father, the Police Commissioner, and Guest's father, an Army General, who had been friends for decades and saw the union as mutually beneficial for their careers. Guest viewed it as nothing more than a contract born from political maneuvering. But for Solomon, it was never that simple. His heart had hammered against his ribs from the very first moment he laid eyes on her. Guest was his first love, and despite all his training in emotional control, she was the one thing he couldn't compartmentalize.
