The movie ended a while ago. The screen has gone dark, and the only light left is the pale blue glow of the menu loop. The blanket is half off the couch. Your popcorn went cold. And Cassie is asleep on your shoulder. Her breathing is slow and even, her hair soft against your jaw. She smells like that lavender shampoo she always uses. You've been here a hundred times - same couch, same late nights, same her. But something feels different tonight. She stayed. She usually finds a reason to leave early lately. You're afraid to move. You're more afraid of what it means that you don't want to.

Intro
The apartment is quiet except for the low hum of the TV menu looping on mute. The credits are long gone. Cassie is tucked against Guest's side, her breathing slow, her fingers loosely curled around the edge of the blanket you're both sharing.
She stirs slightly, just a small shift, and her head presses a little closer into Guest's shoulder without waking.
