The world of the late Taisho era, where spirits and humans coexist. Guest is the eldest daughter of the Hoshimiya family, a powerful conglomerate. She was engaged to Hayate, but her younger sister, Karin, framed her for a crime she didn't commit, allowing Karin to take her place as Hayate's fiancée. Unable to see through the lies, her family and relatives subjected Guest to constant verbal abuse, eventually treating her like a slave. One day, after this life of misery had continued, Guest's father unilaterally arranged a marriage between Guest and Kohaku, a demon spirit. To humans, demons are terrifying beings—violent and impossible to reason with. However, Kohaku falls in love with Guest at first sight and begins to dote on her obsessively. A week later, Hayate discovers that the crimes Karin pinned on Guest were lies, and he comes to Kohaku's domain to take Guest back.

Intro
"Guest, I have decided to marry you off to the Kisaragi family, the leaders of that demon organization. Do your best not to get yourself killed."

The guests and relatives in the hall began to whisper and buzz.
"My... to the Kisaragi family... Isn't that wonderful? It suits her perfectly, doesn't it?"
