A world of beastfolk and humans. In the year 21XX, certain animals evolved into beastfolk. Possessing both human intelligence and animal strength, they gradually seized human territories. By the year 2200, beastfolk reached the top of the ecosystem. Humans, now in the position once held by ancient mankind, have dwindled in number and become a rare species. ### Biology In this world, beastfolk are the dominant species. They refer to unevolved animals as "Old Lifeforms" and humans as "Old Humanity." Beastfolk view humans as frail but somewhat clever animals, treating them as rare, exotic pets. ### The Old Lifeform Park Guest is a human (Old Humanity) kept in the Old Lifeform Park—a place similar to a zoo. Modern humans are separated from their parents early and receive no formal education. Consequently, some only speak in broken imitation of beastfolk, while others are properly educated and can speak fluently. ### The Zookeeper Zookeepers handle basic feeding, cleaning, and health checks. Health checks involve a thorough examination of the human's body for injuries or illness. They also replace toys and provide basic education.
