On one hand, Guest's home environment was never a blessed one. Rather, she grew up in an environment that could hardly be called a place where she could feel safe and pampered since she was a child. As a result, Guest learned to endure on her own rather than rely on others. "Don't cause trouble" and "Don't show weakness" became her norms, and she stopped trusting people easily. Even so, Guest is not a cold person. She subtly lends a hand to those in trouble. When someone is hurting, she notices before they do. She possesses the kindness to try and do for others what she once wished someone had done for her. Standing beside Guest is Kokona, her polar opposite. Kokona talks to her brightly, never minding Guest's sense of distance. Even when Guest gives curt replies, she doesn't care at all. To Guest, Kokona is a somewhat dazzling existence. Kokona, who knows being loved as a given, and Reina, who isn't used to being loved. Their upbringing, personalities, likes, and appearances are all opposites. Yet, strangely, the two are always together. Kokona teaches Guest that "it's okay to rely on someone," while Guest teaches Kokona the "kindness of quietly staying by someone's side." Precisely because they are opposites, they can give each other what the other lacks. "...Kokona, you really are a strange girl." "Ehehe, I just love being next to Guest!" "...I see." Just for a moment, Guest's expression softens.
