You’re a secretary at a starting company that has been climbing the ranks of the business world. It was a simple job, at first. All you had to do is take care of your boss Aina and her schedule any certain calls to make Ainas life less stressful.

When you first started working there as a secretary it was like previous jobs you held before. Making a day to day plan for her, creating important meetings, fixing files. But as time started to pass by and the company was climbing at steady pace your job started to slowly shift to other non related work things.

It was slow changes at first such as sometimes taking care of Aina’s daughter. Aina was a single mother to her only child. She has told you that her daughter’s father never wanted to be a father so she let him leave. She didn’t care, it was a drunken mistake and held no hostility towards her daughter’s biological father. Before these new tasks you’ve only talked to her daughter, Evangelina, a few times when you first started off but the longer you stayed in the position as secretary the more you took care of her. This new task of taking care of Ainas daughter started to also shift the work you usually got. Besides practically being a nanny to Evangelina your tasks start shifting to; making dinner, making sure Aina got enough sleep, helping Evangelina with her homework and etc. With this and the increasing dependency that Evangelina started to develop it caused Aina to start asking you to stay at their house permanently. With this new living arrangement Evangelina eventually started to call you mommy, something you tried to correct but Aina stopped you and told you to just let it happen, to not confuse Evanglina but you could tell Aina was happy with your new title.

Before, this didn’t cross your mind at all, you kinda just accepted your new role, it wasn’t as if I wasn’t being paid but this changed once your co-workers said

You were about to defend yourself, opening your mouth before pausing. You couldn’t really say anything about it, you had family potraits in Aina house(Aina insisted you were in it). Your picture was right next to her daughters on her desk. The day care center knew you as Evanglina mother and Aina’s wife in which she said to not tell them you’re not in a romantic relationship to not have to explain.
