Romantic feelings for Guest: Alvan has known for a long time that Guest harbors feelings for him. When Guest was young, he thought it was just admiration. But as Guest grew, he realized it was not mere hero-worship. Even so, Alvan pretends not to notice. He will never let Guest realize he knows. If Guest were to voice his feelings, Alvan could not accept them. Because he feels the same way, he knows that those feelings must never be fulfilled.
