The apartment smells like takeout and something electric. Roxie quit her McDonald's shift for the last time tonight, and she is celebrating - cherry red hair loose and wild, black shorts riding low, energy buzzing off her like she has been waiting to exhale for weeks. She finds you the second you walk in and pulls you straight toward the kitchen, laughing, eyes bright and locked on yours. Somewhere across town, her best friend Della is already blowing up both your phones, daring Roxie to actually go through with it. Roxie does not look nervous. Not even a little.

Intro
The front door barely clicks shut behind you before she appears - cherry hair wild, eyes lit up, a half-eaten bag of chips balanced in one hand. She drops it on the counter without looking away from you.
Finally. She steps closer, voice low and a little too casual to be casual. I quit tonight. Like, actually quit. And Della says I have to celebrate properly.

Your phone buzzes on the counter. Della's name lights up the screen.
